Condition Report: Overall very good condition with no restoration, damage or repairs. the surface in some areas is tarnished. The tankard is constructed of multiple pieces, the trefoil base of bracket feet appears to be made from gilt brass as a separate piece, and the interior of the tankard, which is gilded, is also made separately. The body of the tankard appears to be brass in our estimation which has been silver plated. Whereas the figure of the dragon creature was cast separately and is bolted on internally to the tankard itself. If it is not brass or bronze, then it is likely a similar material, perhaps with a higher tin content than typical. It is also possible that the figure is a white metal (zinc) compound. The domed lid is constructed from two pieces screwed together. The cap itself, like the base appears to be gilt brass, whereas the decorative dome lid with ring handle is likely a white metal.
