REGENCY SATINWOOD INLAID CASKET FORM TEA CADDY

Early English Regency casket form tea caddy of satinwood and harewood with decorative inlay, c. 1790. With provenance card stating purchased from estate in Gloustershire, England. With two removable caddies/canisters of matching satinwood with hinged lids and the remains of foil linings. In the center is a decorative, footed cut glass bowl. Including key. With lion's head ring handles and paw feet. Dimensions: H 6.75" x W 12.25" x D 6.25" Condition: Antique wear consistent with age and use. Finish loss, fading to wood. Small splits and losses. Flea bites to glass.
Condition: All the items in this auction remain at our gallery location in Norwalk, CT for pickup. Preview is by appointment, Monday-Friday, 9:30-4:30. Items must be picked up in the time frame of Tuesday, Wednesday December 1st- Friday, December 10th, 9am-5pm, WEEKDAYS. We will offer in-house shipping to the Contiguous USA for select smaller items in this sale, please contact us prior to bidding for a quote as purchases are not contingent on shipping.
