Provenance: Malcolm Innes Gallery The Collection of Charlie Watts Condition Report: The canvas has been lined. Surface dirt and scattered scuffs. A scratch of approximately 3cm is present to the collie's left ear. Craquelure throughout, with the most noticeable area to the centre of the canvas. An area of paint shrinkage is present to the left side of the upper edge and in the upper left corner. Inspection under UV reveals a thick uneven varnish and some scattered areas of retouching to the collie , the ground below and to the right. There appears to be some strengthening to the collie's face and perhaps some further restoration to the background but the thick varnish renders this difficult to read.
