Provenance: Aitken Dott Tryon Gallery, London The Collection of Charlie Watts Exhibited: Edinburgh, The Scottish Gallery, Memorial Exhibition, May 1924, No.24 Condition Report: Light surface dirt throughout, which has collected slightly around the areas of impasto. A few scattered scuffs with some associated losses, including to the left side of the upper edge and two abrasions approximately 25cm from the left edge in the upper left quadrant. A couple of further small abrasions with paint loss are present to the dog's hind leg. Inspection under UV reveals an uneven cloudy varnish and some scattered areas of possible retouching, including to the upper left quadrant above the dog's hind leg and to the right of its head.
