Case: signed, n. U699384, three-body in stainless steel, screwed caseback stamped 16500, bezel graduated to 400 units, Triplock crown with guards, screwed pushers.
Bracelet/Strap: Rolex Oyster steel bracelet ref. 78390, Fliplock clasp marked MA1, end links 503B.
Dial: signed, black, applied and luminescent indexes, minute division with 1/5th of second fractions, rimmed dials for the seconds, 30-min and 12-hour registers, luminescent bâton hands.
Movement: signed, self-winding cal. 4030, n. 1103726, 31 jewels, rhodium-plated, monometallic balance with Microstella screws adjusted in five positions and to temperature, free sprung Breguet hairspring.

Reference 16520 was the first Cosmograph Daytona to be equipped with a self-winding caliber. Produced starting from 1988 circa, the black dials present on the models with serial W, S, T and U over the years can sometimes show a change of the counters track which from silver is going to acquire a progressive oxidation tending to brownish. The exemplar proposed, in addition to its excellent condition, may in the future be subject to this change that takes the name "Patrizzi".
