ROLEX - a gentleman's Oyster Perpetual Military Submariner MilSub wrist watch. Circa 1978. Stainless steel case with calibrated bezel. Reference 5517, serial 5339891. Case back numbered 0552/923-7697, 870/78. Signed automatic calibre 1520. Black dial with luminous hour markers . Fitted to a grey nylon 'NATO' style strap with stainless steel pin buckle. 39mm.
Condition Report: Movement is currently functioning.
Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible when viewed under a 4x loupe.
Dial appears to be in an average condition with some light marks and scratches when viewed under a 4x loupe.
Hands show noticeable marks and tarnishing. Scratches and wear visible on all hands.
Glass has noticeable scuffs and multiple scratches. Very scuffed glass.
Case shows noticeable scratches, marks and dints. Rotating bezel rotates. Bezel quite tough to rotate fully and colour of the bezel has faded, scratches also visible. Dints on the lugs and scratches visible around front and sides of case.
Crown screws down and has light scratches and marking. Some resistance when manually wound.
Strap shows marks and creasing. Adjustment pin holes slightly stretched and stitching snagged on one pin hole.
Buckle shows marks and scratches when viewed under a 4x loupe.

This lot comes with a service box but no papers.
