BOÎTE RONDE EN JASPE ROUGE, ROME, CIRCA 1810, ATTRIBUÉE À FILIPPO PUGLIESCHI.
Couvercle orné d'un médaillon en micro-mosaïque représentant le combat d'un lion et d'un chien. Ce décor est une reprise du tableau Un lion dévorant un chien de Johann Wenzel Peter (1742-1829). Monture en or rose.
Usures du temps, mais bon état général.
Travail italien, sans poinçons apparents.
H. : 3 cm - Diam. : 8 cm.
Référence : la micro-mosaïque peut être attribuée à Filippo Puglieschi. Cet artiste était extrêmement habile et très célèbre pour ses scènes d'animaux, s'inspirant souvent de tableaux très en vogue à cette époque, notamment ceux de Johann Wenzel Peter.
