Rare 17th-18th C. Islamic Indian or Persian Flail Mace Weapon. A seldom encountered early Indo-Persian weapon, consisting of a long hollow steel shaft showing traces of silver damascene decorations, with its long chain armed with a heavy solid iron ball on the end which will do considerable damage at impact.
