Rectangular, printed after Simon Ravenet in puce on white ground, the sides with six groups of putti representing Painting, Sculpture, Astronomy, and Commerce, the last two repeated, the cover with narrative scenes surrounded by raised white diaper and scrollwork, chased and shaped gilt metal borders, mahogany interior divided for writing accessories.
