RARE PAIR CHINESE FAMILLE JAUNE CLOISONNE VASES.
Date: 18th to 19th Century
A pair of square form vases tapering slightly to a square foot. Decorated in Famille Jaune color palette, each side with a flower representing a different season. Gilt copper edges and rims. Design mimicking that of Kangxi Famille Jaune porcelain vases.
Height: 48.5 cm (19.09 in)
PROVENANCE: Important Pennsylvania private collection.
A similar pair of vases, but in Famille Noire palette, sold in a European auction, Lot 1133, for 22,000 Euros.
