Rare Third Reich RAD (Reichsarbeitsdienst) Leaders Dress Dagger with Orange Grip by Richard A Herder Solingen, untouched example of a standard RAD leaders dress dagger with eagle head top, cross guard with emblem of the RAD to the centre. Dagger with two orange slab grips, this being a variation that is only found on daggers by the maker Richard A Herder, Solingen and as such are extremely rare to find. Complete with the original scabbard having two fixed hanging strap mounts. Officers pattern blade with motto ‘Arbeit adelt’ in gothic lettering. Makers trade mark to the reverse of the blade. Some light staining to the blade but generally good. Some plating lifting to the grip and one small chip to the reverse of the grip. A rare and hard to find variation of the RAD officers dress dagger.
