Rare Virginia Queen Anne Walnut Dressing Table
possibly Suffolk area, mid 18th century, highly figured walnut top with cusped corners, scalloped side skirts, dovetailed drawers with walnut, white pine and yellow pine secondary, cabriole legs and pad feet with notched back corners, 27 x 32 x 19-1/2 in.˜˜Note: A closely related dressing table, possibly from the same shop, is in the collections of Colonial Williamsburg, and came from a family with a history in Suffolk. See 1979-86. Both tables have distinctive notches at the backs of the pad feet.˜Provenance: Private New England Collection
Condition Report: very good overall, some minor later braces, old cracks and some later screws to top, legs with some later pinning (knot cracks at one front leg), patch at one rear knee return
