Rare arbalète gothique à trait. L'arc est en fer gravé à l'eau forte et cordé, l'arbrier est en noyer, à étrier et à décors de plaques d'os blanchi et poli, noix en os maintenue à l'arbrier par des liens. Un tenon en fer traversant l'arbrier pour la fixation du cranequin. Longue détente en fer. Manque probablement une hausse de visée pour le tir ou une pièce de fixation pour le trait. Ce type d'arbalète gothique est rare, il montre le passage des arcs composés de corne à ceux fabriqués en acier. Allemagne ou Suisse, fin XVe siècle. The crossbow probably lacks a sight for shooting or an attachment for the draw. This type of Gothic crossbow is rare and shows the transition from bows made of horn to those made of steel.
