Broken Hill classics are among the most sought-after pieces in the mineral world. This piece is from a very old collection. The mine is named after a broken silhouette of a hill. Mineralisation was founded by a local farmer, Charles Rasp, and the first mine lease contracts in 1883 were linked to him and a local consortium. The mines are still active until this day.
