Red-gold Cloisonne pineapple trinket box, gold plated filigree and enamels, by NYCO, Nicki Yassaman: his mark boxed filigree heart on the bottom is present; late 1990s. Limited edition.

The pineapple box is c.7" [17.8cm] tall including top, and c.4" [10.2cm] across, gold plated filigree, red and green enamels, fine condition.

Cloisonne is an ancient technique for decorating metalwork objects with enamels held in place or separated by metal strips or wire.

NYCO International Inc., New York, is an American company. The limited edition cloisonne items were designed by the owner of NYCO, Nicki Yassaman in continuation of Faberge tradition.
