[ translate ]

"Epiphany of the Lord", splendid high-relief in terracotta and plaster by a master modeler from the 1800s, probably from the Bolognese school, finely painted with gilded leaf details. Characterized by very protruding figures, with parts that protrude almost completely (St. Joseph, Mary, the ox, the angels and two of the magi) , represented without proportional alterations or crushing, they seem to emerge from the line of the background, which is also decorated and worked meticulously. Very rich in characters (there are more than 20) , it is set in a classic nativity scene with ruins and landscape. St. Joseph has the terminal part of the missing arm the Child being removable (it was placed on the night of December 24th) is missing.
