Reliquary (1) - Baroque - Late 18th century
Monstrance reliquary, with silver sheet embossed and chiselled on a base of carved and lacquered wood, dating from the second half of the eighteenth century. Inside the reliquary compartment is an enamel plaque, probably on copper, depicting St. Anthony of Padua with baby Jesus and an angel. Unfortunately the foil has no hallmarks but it has been tested several times (see the last picture) and is surely made of silver. Height: 36 cm. Width: 18 cm. The foil is in a good state of preservation, the wooden part is not in good condition with defects that are visible in the photos.
