Rescued from the Holocaust inferno. Personal copy of the Holy Gaon of Klausenburg, Sefer 'Shu"t Mohara"sh' from his Rabbi the Holy Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Engel, the Gaon of Radomishla (Radomyśl), (1853-1935) from the great Poskim of the generation.

Shu"t M0hara"sh Engel, fifth volume of the four parts of Shilchon Aruch, by the Holy Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Engel, Weranow edition, 1936. With the personal signature and stamp of his revered disciple the Holy Gaon of Klausenburg, who received Semicha (authorization for Hora'ah) from him.

Rabbainu HaGaon HaKodosh Mohara"sh Engel author of Shu"t Mohara"sh [1853-1935], was known as the "Gaon of Radomishla (Radomyśl)" , he was Ab"d of Kashau (Košice) and before that Rab"d in Biłgoraj, Rudnik, Dukla and Radomishla (Radomyśl) the city from which his name became very famous as one of the Poskim of the generation.
Approved as Rabbi by the 'Shoel U'Meishiv' Rabbi Yosef Shaul Natansohn, and oraly by the 'Torat Chessed' Rabbi Shneur Zalman Fredkin (Ladier) of Lublin. He was a close disciple of the 'Diveri Chaim' of Sanz and his children the Holy Rabbi of Sieniawa (Shinova) and the Holy Rabbi of Gorlitz (the grandfather of the Holy Shefa Chaim of Sanz Klausenburg who was Rabbinicaly endorsed in his youth by the Mahara" sh Engel).

The Holy Gaon Rabbi Yekusiel Yehudah Halberstam of Sanz – Klausenburg (fondly known by the sefarim he authored, the 'Shefa Chaim or 'Divrei Yatziv') [January 10, 1905 – June 18, 1994] very famous and revered from the righteous of the generation. Founded the Sanz neighborhood in Netanya and the Laniado Hospital. Served simultaneously as Rosh Yeshiva, and as a leader for thousands. At the age of 21 he was appointed and Rav and Ab" d of 'Kehilat HaSefaradit' the Chareidi community in the Klausenburg neighborhood. He lived through the horrors of WWII and suffered severly, losing his righteous wife the daughter of the 'Atzei Chaim' of Sighet and his eleven children, including his firstborn 'Lipel'a, of whom his father testified his immense greatness.
After the Holocaust, he became very famous for establishing institutions of Torah and Charity for the remaining refugees. Thousands of Jewish brethren took refuge and embraced in the shadows of his courtyard which he set up in Crown Heights and then in Kiryat Sanz in Netanya and Jerusalem, and later years in Union City.
He initiated and established institutions to set up and spread Torah in amazing ways. “Mifal HaShas” and " Kollel Shas" in Israel and all over the world.
