A Restored Japanese Sengoku era Made Wakizashi Signed by Maker Yasuhara from Mimasaka Province in Modern Shirasaya Fittings. The blade reads Yasuhara Sakushu stating the smiths name and his region in Sakushu (Mimasaka Province) in modern (Okayama Prefecture), western Honshu. The Sengoku era refers to the time of the Warring States period lasting from 1467 to 1603. This particular blade was believed to be made around the mid 1500's to early 1600's (possible Battle of Sekigahara time frame) before the establishment of the Tokugawa Shogunate and the establishment of the Edo period.
