Ring plate with Celtic warrior from Minor Asia, 2nd
Oval ring plate made of copper alloy. On the back the old broken off lugs of the ring rail. On the plate in raised relief a warrior (Galatian?) to the left. In his right the sword raised above his head, in his left carrying an oval shield. Patina rubbed off in places. Small traces of corrosion on the reverse. Rare motif. Length 2.95 cm.
Provenance: From a private collection kept in southern Germany. Acquired in the 1970s to 1980s from art dealers and German private collections.
