Robert Lockyer, Brixham, an oak and mahogany longcase clock: the eight-day duration movement striking the hours on a bell with the twelve-inch arched brass dial engraved with black Roman hour numerals, c-scroll corner decoration, an eagle within the arch sitting on a ribbon engraved Tempus Fugit, with the dial centre having a subsidiary seconds dial, date aperture and signed Robt Lockyer, Brixham, with decorative blued steel hands, the oak case having mahogany crossbanding to the arched trunk door, the hood having a swan-neck pediment with further crossbanding, brass patrae and free-standing tapered pillars, the base with further crossbanding, height 205cm.
