Roblin & Fils Frères Paris a mahogany mantel clock: the eight-day duration movement striking the hours and half-hours on a bell and stamped to the backplate with the name Roblin & Fils Frères à Paris within an oval and numbered 22562, the brass dial having a white onyx chapter ring with applied gilt-brass Roman numerals and spade hands, the dial centre engraved with c-scroll decoration and signed by the retailer Connell, 83 Cheapside, the curved-top mahogany case with fluted canted corners and standing on brass feet, height 35cm. * Notes Roblin & Fils Frères are recorded as working in Paris at Rue Vieille du Temple in circa 1860 moving to Rue des Filles du Calvaire by 1870.
