Roman Bronze Phallic Fertility Amulet

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A cast-bronze fertility amulet depicting a pair of phalluses draped off of a central ovoid body. The middle of the body features a raised boss beneath a pair of protruding flanges, and three suspension rings enable the composition to hang from a necklace cord. Green and brown patina has developed across all surfaces. Size: 2.125" W x 1.875" H (5.4 cm x 4.8 cm)
