Roman Glass Bottle - Holy Land, Molded Form

Roman Empire, Lebanon or Syria, ca. 1st to 2nd century CE. A delicate mold-made bottle with its sides decorated by relief amphorae, a delicate disc base, and a slender neck terminating in a flaring mouth. The Roman Holy Land was particularly well known for its graceful and imaginative mold made glass vessels, used to hold cosmetics and perfumes. Size: 1.65" W x 3" H (4.2 cm x 7.6 cm)
