Roman Glass Handled Vessel - Gorgeous Blue

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A delicate molded glass vessel, featuring a rounded chamber with a stippled surface, a cylindrical neck, a ribbon handle, and a wide, flat, rolled lip. The exterior and interior feature areas of silvery, pearlescent, and iridescent patina which contrast wonderfully with the deep cobalt blue of the glass itself. Size: 2.45" W x 3.25" H (6.2 cm x 8.3 cm); 4" H (10.2 cm) on included custom stand.

Provenance: private New York, New York, USA collection; ex-private prominent D.K. collection, New York, USA, acquired in the 2000s
