A carved marble head of an ox with stub horns, incised linear detailing around the eyes and mouth, recessed nostrils, tousled hair detailing to the top of the head and beneath the chin. 1.7 kg, 16cm (6 1/4"). From an important French collection formed since the early 1960s.
