A finely carved marble left foot, once part of a larger statue, modelled wearing a sandal with detailing to the toes, nail beds and sandal sole; mounted on a custom-made stand. From an important English collection; formerly in an old French collection; this lot has been checked against the Interpol Database of stolen works of art and is accompanied by AIAD certificate number no.10780-177432.
