A 'Blue Fluted Plain' porcelain tureen with cover, Royal Copenhagen, model 277, 1893-1900.
Round. Rocaille shaped handles, shell shaped finial with waves. Fluted relief and decoration in underglaze blue. Marked "1/277" blue painter's mark "24." and "NIA" in underglaze blue, green stamp "Denmark" underneath, the interior of the cover marked "1/277." painter's mark "44." and with 'bølgelinier' / wave pattern. Height 14, length between handles 24 cm. Originally referred to as "Ragoutfad/lågfad, oval" modeler J. Jacobsen February 1897.
