Set with a cushion-cut ruby weighing 3.63 carats, flanked by two old European-cut diamonds, size 5¾, signed Tiffany & Co.
Condition Report:
In good condition, with superficial scratches to the metalwork not visible to the naked eye. Shank interior stamped 750 and PT950 for 18 karat gold and platinum. The ruby of red hue, moderately deep tone and strong saturation; with central silk "nests" and scattered minor feathers. The two diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 1.35 and 1.25 carats are approximately I-J color, VS clarity. Accompanied by SSEF report no. 68356 dated May 27, 2013 stating that the ruby is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating, this color variety of ruby may also be called 'pigeon's blood' based on SSEF reference standards. Accompanied by GRS report no. 2013-022416 dated February 26, 2013 stating that the ruby is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating, this color variety of ruby may also be called 'pigeon's blood' by members of the trade.
