The rectangular case of reeded design, the thumbpiece set with calibré-cut sapphires, the hinge at one end set with a cabochon sapphire, signed Cartier, British hallmarks and sponsor's mark
12.7 by 8.2cm., 5 by 3 3/8in.

Condition Report:
Signed Cartier London, stamped with British hallmarks for London, 9 carat gold, date letter L for 1946 and maker's mark JC for Cartier. Thumbpiece and hinges in good working order. Cabochon sapphire at hinge is heavily included and therefore has fractured and chipped. Gross weight approximately 209.5 grams. Overall condition good.
