SCRIMSHAW PANBONE PLAQUE
Mid-19th Century
Depicts a dynamic whaling scene of three whaleships, one cutting in, and seven whaleboats in pursuit of a large pod of whales, one of which is waifed.
Approx. 3.5" x 16.25". Includes a simple wood stand. Pierced at top for hanging.

Condition Report: Some loss of ink. Small old chip lower right corner. Two pierced holes at bottom have been filled. Naturally occurring indentations.
