SEVRES-STYLE PORCELAIN COVERED VASE, SCENE BY J. MORIN

ovoid form, the body with a garden scene framed by gilt foliate scrolls, signed J. Morin in brown underglaze, against a egg shell ground, the conforming cover with an acorn finial, the circular base with acanthus leaves and berries, further with a burnt orange velvet baseinitialed BB with double L and S. all in blue underglaze, number 067 in red underglaze all under cover; height including cover: 59 cm (23 1/4 in.), height without cover: 50 cm (19 3/4 in.)

CONDITION
The vase appears in age-appropriate condition. Rubbing resulting in scattered losses to the gilt accents. Minor discoloration present around the circular base. Very light surface scratches present to the egg shell ground and scene. Inspection under UV light shows retouching to the rim of the vase.
