SILVER AND GOLD PRESENTATION MEDALLION COMMEMORATING
Silver and gold oval presentation medallion commemorating Prinzregent Luitpold von Bayern's (1821-1912) life. The Prinzregent served as Bavaria's defacto King from 1886 (to 1912) when Ludwig II was deposed. This medallion measures 2" x 1". The frame and backing are made from yellow gold, and the center from silver. Four hand-cut rubies are positioned around the frame, with two sapphires, and a seed pearl on the hangar. Hanging from the bottom is a elongated BIWA pearl. Inscribed on the reverse is information about Prinzregent Luitpold with his birth and death information.
