SONGYE CARYATID STOOL, DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO

Condition Report:
Very good condition overall. Some age cracks, including to the seat, the front of the proper right hand and to the proper right side of the head, behind the ear, and down the spine. Age crack to the proper right side of the torso with some fill and applied pigment. Some insect flight holes around the edge of the seat. Shallow insect damage to the underside of the integral base. Minor marks, nicks, scratches, abrasions, and small losses in places. Good aged dark reddish-brown patina. Freestanding.
