SOUTHERN APPALACHIAN DECORATED RIB-TYPE WOVEN-SPLINT MINIATURE BASKET, white oak, finely woven low melon form with wrapped double rim and high arched handle. Excellent original dry salmon painted surface with green and blue star-flower and diamond decoration. Probably eastern Tennessee. Circa 1930. 5 1/2" HOA, 2 3/8" H rim, 4 3/8" x 5" rim.
Excellent condition with only a few minute losses to bottom.
