Condition Report:
The canvas is lined and the paint surface is only slightly dirty with a very slightly discoloured varnish. There is evidence of slight wear in the painted surface, notably along the margins. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals pin-prick retouchings scattered throughout the composition, with a few areas of more concentrated retouching - notably along the margins and in a patch at the bottom of the Madonna's robe. In overall fair condition.
