STEVENS WHIPPET MODEL C BOLT ACTION .22 RIFLE

NSN. BARREL 22" CALIBER .22 RIM FIRE. Whippet rifles and shotguns were made c. 1920-1945 by the Stevens division of Savage Arms for Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Company, a hardware retail/wholesale operation in Chicago whom used the Whippet logo. Seldom seen today, this is a single shot, take down bolt action that features sporting sights and a plain pistol grip walnut stock with a smooth curved steel butt plate. There is some minor blue flaking on frame and a couple of spots on the barrel but still a solid 90% gun with great bore and nice stocks that show just minor impressions and handling wear. C&R
