Charles XIV John parcel gilt and painted empire pier table and mirror, the table having an eagle on a faux marble base, fasces decorated frieze, and green inset marble top, the arched mirror having a swan clutching a branch. Unmarked. Provenance: Previously sold Sotheby's, New York, date unknown, lot 357. Approx. of the table, h. 31.5", w. 28.75", d. 14.75"; of the mirror, h. 64", w. 27.75", d. 2.75".
Condition Report: Scattered chips to finish; chips to edges of marble; silvering losses to mirrored plate; both pieces are structurally sound.
