Color lithograph according to Salvador Dali's original 1979 gouache, Privileg cotton paper, dimensions: 41 x 32 cm, signed on board, on the back proof of the limited edition of 800 copies and the year of publication 1979, Dalart Gala edition, certificate.Marguerites is part of the FlorDali series consisting of 10 works by Dali (Rose Papillon - Lys musical - Marguerites - Passion flower - Cobea - Begonia - Arbre lunes - Pensée -Dahlia - Arbre soleil).Salvador Dali, creating a series of works in 1979, used elements of his earlier works. And so "Marguerites" can be seen on the artist's magnificent work titled Flordali from 1969.The lithographs were originally intended as a gift for guests of an exhibition of Salvador Dali's gouaches at the Hotel Le Meurice in Paris. For an unknown reason, they were not gifted, and for more than half a century they were in the inventory of Hotel Le Meurice in Paris. The exclusive Hotel Le Meurice was a favorite place for great artists and thinkers. This is where Pablo Picasso held his wedding reception, and Salvadore Dali spent a month each year for 30 years in the old Royal Suite (comprising rooms 106 and 108), which was used by King Alfonso XIII . Others include the Wright brothers, Giorgio de Chirico , Rudyard Kipling , Edmond Rostand , Gabriele D'Annunzio , Paul Morand , Walter Lippmann , Yehudi Menuhin , Seiji Ozawa , Anne-Sophie Mutter and Plácido Domingo ." Flordali " are fanciful, anthropomorphized plants carrying humorous and erotic content, among other things. Also present throughout the series are characteristic elements of Salvador Dali's paintings, such as the eye motif, the crow's feet and the figure that brings to mind Don Quixote. The full title that Dali gave to his work is "Marguerite oeuf au plat," literally translated as "Daisies with a fried egg." Dali manages to change the meaning of the images, their interrelationships and essentially creates a new concept and "way of seeing" in his own surreal, unique style. The frames shown in the visuals are for illustrative purposes and do not constitute a commercial offer.
