Red initials in some works, woodcut initials in Savonarola’s works (top of first text leaf repaired just touching text, a few leaves repaired at gutter, some dampstaining at beginning; some spotting and toning; final gathering of work IV sprung). South German contemporary blindstamped pigskin over wooden boards [EBDB w003108, Einhorn III a], titles in ink on fore-edge, 12th-century German manuscript fragment reused as pastedown and quire guards containing text from Mariani Scotti Chronicon, spine painted grey, brass catchplates, clasp (clasp renewed). Provenance: “CASPAR” in ink on top edge.
