Builders of Babylon, 1937, edition of 250, published by Associated American Artists, New York, in 1949 (AAA/Czestochowski, 1949.048). Signed "SLMargolies" in pencil l.r. Etching and aquatint on paper, plate size 14 1/4 x 11 in. (36.2 x 28.0 cm), framed.
Condition: Not examined out of frame.

Provenance: The estate of The Reverend Canon Carlson Gerdau, New York, sold to benefit St. Mark's School, Southborough, Massachusetts.
Estimate $2,000-3,000

Out of the frame the sheet is a wove paper and measures 16 1/4 x 12 7/8 inches with a deckled lower edge. The image is gently light-toned. There are pale fox marks and pencil annotations to the verso.
The frame is 20 1/2 x 16 3/4 x 3/4 in.
