The Virgin Mary expression of rapture is a beautifully portrayed. The movement given to the dress by the wood carver is lovely, full of life and beautifully painted. The Virgin Mary wears a beautiful gold crown (with no hallmark) The Holy Mother is resting on a little cloud born aloft by three sweetly chubby putti. This statue has never been restored and it is a fantastic religious art sculpture.
