Outstanding bronze sculpture from late 19th century, in good condition with minor signs of wear (see photos) . The statue depicts a young woman lying down, with a finely chiselled draping. Every detail is finely sculpted, especially the face. The statue rests upon a marble base certainly made in a later period. Most likely originally it was a bed headboard.
