[ translate ]

\Artist: Scuola Francese del XVII Secolo
Technique: Oil on canvas\Signature: Not signed\Dimensions: 99_87_5_cm
Antique painting, oil on canvas, 17th century, depicting the Holy Family with St John and St. Elizabeth. This refined and suggestive work, whose surface is decidedly accurate and with passages of excellent quality, in which the artist demonstrates excellent talent, appears to be attributable to an artist of the French school, active during the second half of the seventeenth century, with outcomes stylistically similar to the production of artists such as Pierre Mignard (1612 - 1695) , an artist who was the author of historical-religious works and who completed his artistic training in Italy, where he resided for over twenty years, acquiring the style of Bolognese painters and the influence of Roman classicism. In overall fairly good condition, considering its age. There are old scattered restorations and some peeling of the surface. There are no conservation issues. The original canvas has a fairly recent re-lining that does not seem to require further intervention. It looks like the stretcher was replaced when the painting was relined. Fine craquelure consistent with the painting’s age. With a beautiful antique frame, which shows flaws and defects. Painting size: 84 x 71. 5 cm. Frame size: 99 x 87 cm. With photographic certificate of authenticity, in accordance with the current law Shipping via insured express courier, packaged with the utmost care.
