[ translate ]

\Artist: Scuola Italiana del XVII Secolo
Technique: Oil on canvas\Signature: Not signed\Dimensions: 94_80_5_cm
Antique panel, 17th century, oil on canvas applied on wooden panel, depicting San Bartolomeo Apostolo. Suggestive work that depicts the holy apostle protector of butchers, tanners and bookbinders, as well as being the patron saint of the city of Benevento, which preserves some relics in the diocesan museum. Our canvas highlights passages of remarkable quality and in which the author proves excellent talent, and whose stylistic and composition traits suggest the attribution to an artist of the Italian school probably active between central and southern Italy during the seventeenth century. In fairly good overall condition considering the age of the painting, some scattered restorations and some slight peeling of the painted surface. There are no conservation problems, the original canvas is applied on a wooden panel, which has no peeling or flaws to be reported. Fine craquelure consistent with the painting’s age. With a beautiful lacquered frame from a fairly recent period, with slight flaws and shortcomings. Painting size: 77 x 63 cm. Frame size: 94 x 80 cm. With photographic certificate of authenticity, in accordance with the current law. Shipping via insured express courier, packaged with the utmost care.
