Scuola Veneta del XVIII secolo - Veduta di paesaggio fluviale

[ translate ]

\Artist: Scuola Veneta del XVIII secolo
Technique: Oil on canvas\Signature: Not signed\Dimensions: 2_100_70_cm
In Italy, at the beginning of the seventeenth century, the landscape begins to receive new attention. Starting from Annibale Carracci's "Flight into Egypt", one can observe a particular artistic sensitivity towards the representations of "River Views". It will be, however, in the eighteenth century, in Holland, that the "River Landscape" will establish itself as a genre in its own right. The landscape will explore all possible genres, through specialized schools, as in this case, where the painter is inspired by the so-called "making it easy", with which he represents houses, trees, rivers, with warm colors and marked chiaroscuro, in a fringed style, typical of the "Venetian School", in the second half of the Venetian eighteenth century. The painting has three restorations on the back of small cuts and some color drops at the edges of the canvas, clearly visible in the photos. Provenance: the private collection of the famous Lucanian noble family "Appio".
