The painting was restored in 2015 in Bologna at the Laboratory of the Angels. Technical sheet signed by Camilla Roversi Monaco. The state of conservation at the time of the restoration was good, with a small tear on the lower edge and a small patchy portion in the upper right corner. The painting had already been restored previously, lined and reassembled on the original frame. Retouch only the left hand and a portion of the sky. With the 2015 intervention, both the laceration and the perimeter gaps were healed. The re-adhesion of the edges of the canvas was possible thanks to thermoplastic resin and the application of synthetic organza on the cut. The arrangement of the gaps was done through plastering and localized pictorial retouching with a brush, in addition to the final nebulization of the canvas. Presence of a small hole on the left hand.
