Sebastian Matta - Trono
“Trono” by Sebastian Matta was made in Tarquinia in the workshop of his friend Peppino. There are 3 specimens of thrones, all different from each other. I bought it in 1995 directly from Sebastian Matta, that I had met in Bologna during an exhibition of his pieces of furniture in SIMON GAVINA’s atelier. It was displayed during an exhibition in 2012: “Matta, uno sguardo surreale sul mondo”. From paintings with acid colours to the bed in carved wood, from sculptures of surreal animals to benches, where decoration comes close to irony. Some works by Sebastian Matta in Milan.
