Provenance:

According to the seller, the painting was exhibited in several locations across Europe before being presented in Denmark in the early 1990s. After the exhibition, Villy Petersen, then director of the Odense Municipal Cultural Administration, acquired the work. Over several years, Petersen had, through his contacts with artists in Eastern Europe, contributed to bringing both exhibitors and artworks to Denmark.
