Sergi & Oscar Devesa - Metalarte - Wall lamp (2) - set of two rare model medium Arqui ref 1355

On offer here are two MEDIUM wall lamps in cast aluminium by the Devesa designer brothers from Spain for Metalarte. The designers created other iconic lamps for Metalarte such as the Zen or the Boris. As with their other cast aluminium lamps, the design combines straight lines in the form of lengthy slots with a rounded body. The body is entirely cast by hand, therefore it has unique and tiny imperfections that coincede with the mastercraft of casting metal. It is this labor-intensive, costly productionmethod which results in the exclusive and warm character of the design. The Arqui ref. 1355 are no longer available in retail. These stick 11cm out off the wall and function primarily as uplighter although they also spread some light downwards through the sleek slots. Lamps are for use with 230V and originally a R7s halotube (excluded) of max 150W but can also be used with led retrofit lightsources. Lamps are in used condition as depicted and will be shipped insured.
